Description

Strips shorter than spaghetti, wider and with a rather irregular rectangular section.
The origin of the word “scialatiello” is in the Neapolitan dialect verb “sciglià” which means to mess, referring to the hair: in fact the scialatielli appear tousled, just served steaming on the plate.

How to cook them : the scialatielli go perfectly with seafood, but also with porcini mushrooms.
